What information we collect

In order to optimize your use of our website and services, we may need to collect the following types of information from you: Contact, Registration, and Billing Information

You may choose to provide us with information about you or a camper in order to request information, have full use of our website, or enroll in a camp. Specifically, this personally identifying information includes:

  • Contact information, such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number;
  • Camper information, including a name, date of birth, and gender;
  • Medical information, including immunizations, allergies and known known medical issues; and
  • Billing information, such as a credit card number and a billing address.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Suggested text: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Our website is intended for a general audience. The only information about your child that we request from you is that which is necessary to enroll them in one of our camps. We do not permit registration by, and will not knowingly collect or share personally identifiable information from, anyone under 13 years of age.

If you are a parent or legal guardian of a child under the age of 13, you have the right to review, have deleted, or otherwise prevent third party disclosure of your child’s information. If your child under the age of 13 may have provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us in any manner described in the “Contact Us” section.

This Privacy Policy is not applicable to your activities on those third party websites, and we have no responsibility or liability for the content or activities of those linked sites.
